  14. I have an A4000 040 with 12 mb of Fastram.  I get 
  15. segmentation faults rather frequently and wonder if
  16. others have had this problem?  I am using 1.2.13pl9
  17. and have a 40mb swap file, which should be plentty big.

  19. I am also wondering what causes segmentation faults
  20. in general.  Is this a kernel problem or a problem with
  21. lack of real ram?  How much ram do I need to compile big
  22. packages, say the X11R6 distribution?
